We are family run kennel located in the beautifull foot hills in Iowa. We are dedicated to promoting & preserving the Olde English Bulldogge as a healthy, athletic, capable working breed, and the ultimate stable family companion. We accomplish this by pairing up the finest specimens of the breed. If you look around online you will find MANY breeders who breed Olde English Bulldogges, what sets us apart from the rest of the pack? Health, temperment, athletism, quality, intelligence, & proven working ability.
ALL of the bulldogges we produced are backed by a lifetime guarantee to be free from ALL gentic health problems and to be sound of temperment to make outgoing family safe companions. If you know anything about bulldogs you know that they are known to be plaqued with all sorts of gentic health problems, most of which vastly shorten the dogs quality of life as well as drastically reduce their life span, not to mention racking up unsightly huge vet bills in the process trying to keep alive just living a simple life indoors.
Our health guarantee is no gimick, we have gone to great lengths traveling all over the country acquirring the best & healthiest bulldogges we could find. And we dont stop at that we health test, x-ray hips, temperment testing, we have shown our bulldogges in the ring. We performance test all of our bulldogges, we evaluate their intelligence, trainability, & mental stability by obiedence training them, spending vast amount of hours professionaly training & titling our dogs in obedience & protection trials. Our lifetime health guarantee is no gimick, we back our bulldogges with it because that is what we expect & have come to know from our bulldogges a life long existance without any gentic health problems! Many Olde English Bulldogge breeders health guarantee only covers their produced puppies for 1 year. Many of these guarantees also dont cover what they call "normal bulldog" gentic health problems such as cherry eye, hip dysplacia, entropian, demodex mange, extreme skin & food allergies, fatal senstivity to hot & even warm weather, almost too many "common bulldog" problems to list. Not only are these extreme looking AKC English Bulldogs unhealthy they are also built so far away from what mother nature intended for the dog they cannot move in a normal fashion. To me that is nothing short of animal cruelty if a dog is breed where simple every day movements caused from hip dysplacia among other things cause it daily pain at even a early age.
The entire point of the Olde English Bulldogge breed is to be a alternative health problem free bulldogge. Many breeders today are adding so much AKC English Bulldog into their lines they are producing the very same health problems this breed is not supposed to have. We believe the Olde English Bulldogge should be kept a seperate breed from the AKC English Bulldog, because it IS a seperate breed. Many breeders today are hanging papers & being un-honest about what is in their dogs, if it looks like a AKC English Bulldog it most likely is 90% or more a AKC English Bulldog and most likely a short lived walking vet bill as well. If it has that overdone, extreme unhealthy phenotype / look it will most likely have health problems period. We are proud of all of our bulldogges & the dogs behind them, we are very up front & proud of the pedigrees behind all our dogs and are proud to display them honestly & publicly. We invite you to do some research on the Olde English Bulldogge breed before owning one. Briefly the breed was created by a fine dog man named David Leavitt in the 1970's. Mr. Leavitt decleared his recreation of the bulldog of old was created from 1/2 AKC English Bulldog, 1/6 Bull Mastiff, 1/6 American Bulldog & 1/6 American Pitbull Terrier. He declared this new breed of alternative bulldog to be void of all health issues, athletic & capable of working without the mean streak, all while still unmistakeably having that classic stocky bully bulldog look. While many of our bulldogges come from Mr. Leavitt's stock not all of them do, we also have deep generation Hermes & Gargoyle bloodlines in many of our bulldogges. We feel the Hermes & Gargoyle bloodlines are the only bloodlines that are accurate representations of Mr. Leavitts orginal goal of a healthy, working alternative bulldogge of olde. Our mission & our passion is to breed to Mr. Leavitt's orginal standard of his recreation of the bulldogge of olde.
